Services / Roof framing

Roof framing built to carry the load

A roof is only as solid as what's underneath it. We frame, sister, and replace rafters, trusses, and ridge beams so the structure above your head is square, level, and built to carry the load — across the greater Pittsburgh area.

What we fix and build

Sagging ridgelines, cracked rafters, rotted trusses and undersized framing all show up the same way — a roof that doesn't sit right and won't hold up the next storm. We diagnose the structure, engineer the repair to current load code, and rebuild it so the whole system carries weight the way it was meant to.

  • Rafter and truss repair
  • Sistered framing and structural reinforcement
  • Ridge beam replacement and deck rebuilds
  • New construction, additions and dormers
  • Rot, sag and termite damage correction
  • Re-square and re-level of failed framing

How it works

The framing process

01

Structural inspection

We get in the attic, measure span and pitch, and find every cracked, rotted or undersized member. You get a clear report on what's failing and why.

02

Plan & permit

We engineer the repair to current load code, spec the lumber, and pull the permit so the work is legal and inspectable from day one.

03

Framing & reinforcement

We sister, replace or rebuild rafters, trusses and ridge beams, re-squaring the structure and tying it back to the walls below.

04

Deck & sign-off

New solid sheathing goes down flat and fastened, we call for the inspection, and the roof is ready for shingles — square, level and load-rated.

What framing customers say

We had a sagging ridge that three other contractors wanted to brace from below. Greater Pitt sistered the rafters, replaced the ridge beam, and the roof sits dead level now. No more bounce in the floor either.

Mark Dombrowski

Peters Township

After the windstorm cracked two trusses they came out the next day, shored it up, and had the framing signed off and re-decked inside a week. The inspection passed first try.

Linda Castelli

Mt. Lebanon

Honest crew. They told me the sag was mostly cosmetic and only charged me to fix the two trusses that actually needed it. Clean attic, no mess, fair price.
